My Writing Desk in Office of New Moroxico

A Nest Built Backwards
From MOROCCO to BANGKOK to NEW MEXICO, I felt a bit like a bird, flitting around the world, gathering up an assortment of strange and disparate items for my nest.

When things expressly needed to be either structural or functional, I would seek out highly specialized artists and artisans from across the globe to fabricate compositions that were newly made but still had heart and soul.

A veritable nightmare for my construction crew, I not only lived on the property, but also continued to TRAVEL AND BRING THINGS HOME throughout the entirety of the construction process.

The design of New Moroxico therefore had to remain somewhat fluid until the bitter end, as new and exciting finds were constantly being introduced. Even things that were commissioned, like the HAND FORGED CHANDELIERS and lights fixtures, would trickle in slowly and erratically on a timetable known only to the artisans.
